The return of the BAIA Fine Art Print Fair to the Houston Museum of African American Culture marks another significant moment in the continued growth of contemporary Black art and printmaking. Featuring an intergenerational roster of influential artists alongside emerging contemporary voices, the fair continues serving as an important space for preservation, visibility, and cultural dialogue within the contemporary art landscape. Among the participating artists this year is Dontanarious Kelly (Fable of Don)

For Kelly, inclusion within the BAIA Print Fair reflects more than exhibition alone. It represents continued alignment with a broader lineage of Black artists committed to storytelling, symbolism, and cultural memory through visual language. As Fable of Don continues evolving as a contemporary narrative fine art practice, opportunities such as this further situate the work within ongoing conversations surrounding contemporary fine art.
